Galleries, auction houses, high end collectors, and top tier artists have no shortage of resources. High end art handling companies abound and even extremely expensive services are only a small cost in comparison to the value of the art.
But, what about everyone else? Handling options that cost more than the art itself aren’t going to work! And, costs aside, the art community can be very unapproachable (aka. brutal). Just try submitting your work to a few galleries and harden your heart against the forthcoming response (silence or worse).
Shipist is here to fill in the gaps with innovative services. We’ll help artists move their art in ways that make sense with the prices. We’ll make prints accessible and hands off. We’ll be here to be your cheerleaders and advisers. We’ll even employ artists and enthusiasts, give them an awesome place to work that pays a living wage, and offer art specific benefits. And, that’s just the beginning.

Shipist donates regularly to International Justice Mission. Today, there are more slaves in the world than ever before. Oppressors can get away with abuse with no fear of punishment. IJM works to improve justice systems, hold oppressors responsible, and end slavery. Everyone deserves to be free from violence and oppression. Slavery could end in our life time!
